Egyptians Clash on Cairo Streets

Clashes Rock Cairo as Pro-Mubarak Forces Hit Back

Dozens of people were injured in clashes when forces backing Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak converged on his opponents on Cairo's Tahrir Square on Wednesday.
Al Jazeera, reporting from Cairo despite government action against the channel, reports on the clashes in Cairo, in which thousands of supporters and opponents of President Hosni Mubarak battled, raining stones, bottles and firebombs on each other in scenes of uncontrolled violence as soldiers stood by without intervening. Government backers galloped in on horses and camels, only to be dragged to the ground and beaten bloody.
