IVORY COAST: The mistakes and what lessons can be learned

"LET HE WITHOUT BLEMISH THROW THE FIRST STONE" - FOOD FOR THOUGHT?
Oh Africa! once again we seemed destined to once more bend backwards to please 'our colonial master'
One must ask when are we going to be bold, old and honest enough to call a spade a spade when it comes to elections and democracy in Africa! Have the 'TRUTH' been told and have both sides of the divide given a fair opportunity to put their case foward. What about the IVORIANS what do they want? Is what the West want more important to the best interest of our Continent?
In an attempt to prove to the “West” that their democratic credentials have improved, we have seen them “fall over backwards” in the last few weeks. And at no time in recent years, have our African Leaders shown so much naivety and lack of judgment, as they have displayed in the case of Ivory Coast. They have made a number of fundamental mistakes that have made the situation very complicated. What Next?
